By Dorothy Brueck

Riverside Art Students excel again at regional competition. Saturday, February 10 five pieces were taken to the regional show in Buchanan. All five were accepted into the exhibit and now qualifies for state competition on March 10 in Lansing. The following student represented Riverside:

Emily Weaver - 4th grade
Melissa McNamara - 4th grade
Logan Trigg - 5th grade
Ruby Montoya - 3rd grade
Lindsey Waterman - 5th grade

Upcoming ART events:

5th grade ARTWORKS at GOCC will be held on March 15. Riverside will be represented by 33 students.

March 24 Riverside will be represented in an Art Promotion at all Barnes and Nobles. We will be located in the Portage store. A % of all sales at Barnes and Nobles on this day will be given to the arts. I don't have final details yet. Will update when I know.

Riverside will be putting work in with Andrews in Three Rivers at area Wendy's stores (Three Rivers) this spring. This store is designated for Three Rivers but Judson Stemaly of Andrews has offered to allow us to join his students.

Of course, don't forget about the Constantine Art Festival. Student and adult work accepted. Look ahead and plan on joining us on June 9 and 10th at the Art Center and downtown.
