Constantine High School certainly has a number of success stories:
Congratulations to Ben Fries and Stephanie Portinga who have been recognized as Constantine’s awardees for the Wendy’s Heismann Scholar-Athletes for 2005. Both are now competing for possible scholarships. We wish them luck.
Congratulations to James Shotwell and Aubrey KelleyCogdell who will be recognized in the Kalamazoo Gazette Achiever’s Column in November. James and Aubrey are being recognized for their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and community service activities.
Congratulations to Katie Outman who has been selected as Constantine High School’s representative for the 2006 HOBY Youth Leadership Conference.
Other information:
Seniors and Juniors interested in participating in the ACT Prep class weekday mornings should see Mrs. Logan before next Friday. In order to schedule the class, a minimum of six students need to register. For testimonials about the class, see Shawna Preston, Becky Romain, Stepahanie Portinga, Ben Fries, Gynelle Jennings, Kayla Goldsmith, or Lillian.
Regular registration for the December ACT test is lurking around the corner. The deadline is November 4. Be sure to check with the colleges of your choice about whether you will need the writing portion of the test. Mrs. Logan also has a list available in her office of colleges who are currently requiring or recommending it. Before registering, see Mrs. Logan about ways to get more scholarships and financial aid from the ACT test.
The Publications Staff would like to thank the many, many Constantine families, friends, teachers, staff, and students who participated in the Texas Roadhouse fundraiser. Your support is appreciated, and the publications students hope you had a great meal and a great time.
